AWI - Logistics Services News and Events
Broekman Warehousing, who is part of the AWI network of third party logistics services providers based in Rotterdam, is continuing to expand it's presence throughout Europe and Asia.
The expansion of Broekman Warehousing was announced recently in this way . . .
"Broekman Group is set to acquire TWO Chemical Logistics from TWO owner Emons. As of today, the workforce and the TWO sites located in Nijmegen and Maastricht form part of Broekman Logistics, one of the four divisions of this Rotterdam-based company.
TWO Chemical Logistics (formerly Te Winkel & Oomes) has been a logistics services provider since 1852 and – like Broekman Logistics – provides one-stop-shop solutions to customers operating in the chemical industry. “This acquisition is good news for all parties involved”, said Jacques Kleinkramer, Managing Director of Broekman Logistics Division. “It will benefit our customers first of all, since we will be able to provide them with even better services from now on, based on TWO’s more than 160 years of experience and hundreds of satisfied customers. However, this is also a positive development for employees and parent companies.”
Emons CEO Sjang Emons agreed that TWO Chemical Logistics is a valued part of the Emons Group. “Thanks to a number of innovative patents, we are currently experiencing a period of above average growth. We made a strategic decision to allow us to focus more on that growth, and selling our subsidiary TWO to Broekman was a logical step in that.”
Earlier this month, Broekman also announced the acquisition of Triple Logistics. Broekman Group CEO Raymond Riemen: “With two acquisitions within a short space of time, we are really expanding our logistics business in the Netherlands. However, our ambitions – literally and figuratively speaking – know no boundaries. We also aim to offer the very best people to our customers and are therefore delighted that the TWO and Triple employees will now be joining Broekman.”
